Outstanding state communicators recognized
A total of 14 state communicators were honored at the “Parangal: Gawad ng Kahusayan sa Komunikasyong Pampubliko” by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on Monday. The PCO named Lupon, Davao Oriental as the winner of the Public Service Campaign Award (municipal level) for its Kinahanglan Maligdong: Project iCORE (Communication, Organization, Response, and Engagement) campaign.

PBBM orders intensified drive vs. existing POGO
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. directed law enforcement and anti-corruption entities Thursday to carry out smaller but multiple operations against Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGOs) that continue to exist in the country. President Marcos issued the directive during the 2nd Joint National Peace and Order Council (NPOC)-Regional Peace and Order Councils (RPOCs) meeting for 2024 in Camp Crame in Quezon City.
