Kinikilala ng Pangulo ang tagumpay ng WESM sa Mindanao bilang isang makabuluhang hakbang para makamit ang isang maaasahan, matatag, at tamang presyo ng suplay ng kuryente para sa mga konsyumer. Inihayag din ng Pangulo na backbone ng paglago ng ekonomiya ang enerhiya na siya ring elemento para sa mas matatag na kumpiyansa ng mga mamumuhunan sa bansa.
