Humarap muli sa media ang bagong itinalaga na kalihim ng Department of National Defense Gilberto Teodoro Jr. ngayong araw sa press briefing na inorganisa ng Presidential Communications Office. Ibinahagi ni Secretary Teodoro na patuloy na pag-aaralan ng DND ang usapin sa military at uniformed personnel (MUP) pension system at paglalatag ng mga hakbang ng organizational development buong ahensya. Sinagot din ng bagong DND chief ang ilan sa mga katanungan hinggil sa pagrerebyu ulit ng DND-UP accord, pag-aksyon sa mga sigalot sa mga rehiyon, at ilang mga reporma sa ahensya tulad ng modernisasyon nito.
Sa pagtitipon kasama ang mga opisyal ng TESDA, ipinaabot ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang kanyang suporta sa plano ng ahensya na suriin ang mga paraan upang mapondohan ang unfunded programs nito.
