Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs Sarah Arriola paid a courtesy call on two high-ranking officials of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Undersecretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shaikha Rana bint Isa al-Khalifa and Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Abdulla Al Khalifa during the second day of the goodwill mission of the 14-man delegation from the Philippines at the Gulf state.
During the meetings held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Manama, Bahrain on December 29, 2020, Undersecretary Arriola conveyed President Rodrigo Roa Duterte's appreciation to their government in upholding the rights among Filipino migrant workers based in the Kingdom of Bahrain. She also expressed the President's desire on widening and strengthening the mutual cooperation on promoting and protecting migrant workers’ rights.
Undersecretary Arriola likewise lauded the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in managing the pandemic crisis in the Gulf state and the implementation of Bahrain's Flexible Work Permit.
