PCO Acting Secretary Cesar B. Chavez welcomed UK Ambassador Laure Beaufils to strengthen cooperation on strategic communications and combating misinformation. During the meeting, Acting Secretary Chavez highlighted the Philippines’ efforts to enhance public communication and expressed interest in the UK’s best practices, including the Grid Framework. He also welcomed the UK’s support for the Philippines in the West Philippine Sea (WPS), particularly through the WPS Campaign Branding initiative, which aims to reinforce public awareness on maritime security and resource protection.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. handed over PhP50 million in financial assistance to farmers, fisherfolk and their families in Pangasinan following the devastation brought by the series of typhoons to the province.
