Sa kanyang bagong tungkulin, si Techico ay maglilingkod bilang kinatawan ng bansa sa China sa mga usapin na may kinalaman sa kalakalan, pamumuhunan, at turismo. Inaasahang makikipagtulungan din siya sa mga opisyal ng pamahalaan, mga lider sa negosyo, at iba pang mahalagang stakeholder upang magpromote at mapabuti ang ekonomikong kooperasyon sa pagitan ng dalawang bansa.
