On September 25, 2024, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. formally received the credentials from H.E. Saija Nurminen, the Finnish Ambassador-designate to the Philippines. The meeting comes ahead of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Finland, which began on July 14, 1955.
