Marcos Jr. ang pagkakaroon ng 90-day extension period para sa SIM registration pagkatapos ng deadline sa Abril 26, 2023.Inaasahan ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) na aabot sa 15-18 milyon na Pilipino ang magpaparehistro pa sa loob ng nasabing extension period. Sa pinakahuling ulat, higit sa 82 milyong SIM o 49.31% ng kabuuang aktibong SIM noong Disyembre 2022 ang nakapagrehistro na.
