PBBM meets with H.E. Ahmed Saad Nasser Abdullah Al-Homidi, Ambassador of Qatar to the Philippines
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. met with H.E. Ahmed Saad Nasser Abdullah Al-Homidi, Ambassador of Qatar to the Philippines, to discuss the status of 17 Filipinos previously detained in Qatar for illegal assembly. Following the meeting, PBBM welcomed the good news that Qatar will not pursue charges against the individuals, will not impose any penalties, and will allow them to return to work.

In a phone call today, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expressed his deep gratitude to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for Malaysia’s critical support in the aftermath of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine and Super Typhoon Leon. President Marcos highlighted Malaysia’s deployment of the Eurocopter EC-725, which played a vital role in delivering urgently needed relief to flood-ravaged and isolated communities. Prime Minister Anwar reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to assisting the Philippines during times of crisis, underscoring the strength of the ASEAN partnership in responding to regional challenges.
