President Rodrigo Roa Duterte designated Undersecretary Borje as Special Envoy to special missions aimed at checking the conditions of overseas Filipino workers in North Africa and the Middle East.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday lauded firms that have shown commitment to responsible mining. President Marcos led the awarding ceremony for the 2023 Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award (PMIEA) in Malacañang, where he cited the event as a celebration of the mining firms’ commitment and responsibility.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. spoke with United Arab Emirates President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan today, October 14, 2024. During the conversation, President Marcos expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the UAE's invaluable support, particularly the aid provided during recent disasters and the generous pardon of 143 Filipinos, which has brought relief to many families.
The two leaders reaffirmed the strong people to people ties between the Philippines and the UAE and discussed opportunities to further enhance bilateral cooperation in the future.

In his intervention at the 19th East Asia Summit (EAS) in Vientiane, Laos, President Marcos said the South China issue remains a strategic challenge for the concerned parties that is difficult to address.
