PBBM orders DENR to speed up oil spill efforts
Nagbigay si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ng direktiba sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) na magpadala ng agarang tulong sa clean-up ng oil spill na dulot ng paglubog ng motor tanker (MT) Princess Empress sa Oriental Mindoro. Tinitingnan ng DENR ang paghingi ng suporta mula sa mga kalahok ng Balikatan, isang taunang aktibidad ng Armed Forces of the Philippines at United States Armed Forces, habang nagpaabot din ng intensyon ang Japan at South Korea sa pagkontrol ng pinsala. Nakikipagtulungan din ang DENR sa mga lokal na gobyerno, sa may-ari ng bapor, at Department of Social Welfare and Development upang makakalap ng dagdag pondo para sa cash-for-work program para sa mga residente.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. went to Batanes on Friday to personally assist victims of Typhoon Julian. “Kaya’t kami’y nandito para matignan kung ano ba talaga ‘yung inyong mga pangangailangan.
