Sa pangunguna ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., nanumpa sa panunungkulan si G. Maynard Ngu bilang Special Envoy sa bansang China para sa larangan ng kalakalan, pamumuhunan at turismo ngayong araw, Marso 3, sa Malacañan Palace.
Kaakibat ng tungkulin ni Special Envoy Ngu ang pagpapalago ng relasyon ng Pilipinas at Tsina sa mga nasabing usapin at pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga Chinese business leader upang makapaghikayat at magbukas pa ng mga oportunidad ng pamumuhunan sa bansa.
