President Rodrigo Roa Duterte makes sixth visit to Marawi City
On President Rodrigo Roa Dutere's sixth visit to Marawi City on October 2, 2017, he led the inauguration of the Bahay Pag-asa Project at Barangay Bito Buadi Itowa that is intended for the residents of Marawi who were internally displaced due to the conflict in the area. During the President's visit, he witnessed troops from Joint Task Force (JTF) Marawi as they built the bamboo houses. He then gave words of encouragement to the government troops citing that he will fulfill his promise of raising their salaries by 2018 and providing funds for the education of their children. The President also gave out groceries, wristwatches​,​ and sunglasses to the troopers before joining them in a boodle fight. The President also tagged along actor Robin Padilla to provide entertainment to the soldiers. PBBM goes to Batanes to extend PhP38-M aid for Typhoon ‘Julian’ victims
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. went to Batanes on Friday to personally assist victims of Typhoon Julian. “Kaya’t kami’y nandito para matignan kung ano ba talaga ‘yung inyong mga pangangailangan. At mabuti na lang at bago dumating ‘yung bagyo ay nakapagdala na kami ng libo-libo na food pack. Kaya’t noong pagdaan nung bagyo nakapag-distribute kaagad,” President Marcos said.
