Dagdag ng kalihim na sa unang anim na buwang panunungkulan ni PBBM, naipatupad ng DPWH ang pagpapaganda at pagpapabuti ng mga pampublikong kalsada at mga tulay sa buong bansa, na umaabot sa halos 1,500 kilometro. Naipagawa rin ang 161 na mga tulay sa mga pampublikong kalsada at iba pang lokal na mga kalsada sa panahon na ito.
