Marcos Jr. ang mga kasulukuyang suliranin na kinakaharap ng rehiyon tulad ng tumatandang populasyon at ang seguridad sa enerhiya na matutugunan sa paggamit ng renewable energy. Binigyang-diin din ng Pangulo ang sama-samang pagkilos ng ASEAN upang himukin and mga mauunlad na bansa na tuparin ang kasunduan ukol sa isyu ng climate change sa ilalim ng Paris Agreement.
