Sec. Bong Go Visits Fire Victims in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City
After visiting the fire victims in Quezon City on May 13, 2018, Sec. Bong Go proceeded to Barangay Tambo in Parañaque City to inspect the condition of the hundreds of affected familes in a fire incident which destroyed homes and claimed six lives. Sec. Go visited and extended financial assistance to the casualties in Paranaque fire. He condoled with Marlon Amata whose wife Anna and children Jake and Angelo perished in the tragedy as well as with Josesel Canaria whose wife Mary and children Jomarie and Daniel died in the incident. He then visited the victim who was diagnosed with diarrhea. He also led the distribution of the relief goods to the victims composed of food packs, hygiene kits, and cash assistance. Sec. Go also gave the assurance that the Duterte administration is ready to help return their lives to normalcy. After delivering a message, Sec. Go, in his regular "Sapatos ni Sap, Tsinelas Ka Swap," gave his pair of shoes to a fire victim. This has become the practice of Sec. Go everytime he visits fire victims across the country. Joining Sec. Go are Presidential Communications and Operations Secretary Martin Andanar and officials from the Department of Social Welfare and Development and Department of Health and the National Housing Authority.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Monday ordered the immediate rehabilitation of public school classrooms constructed during the administration of his late father, President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr., noting that many of these structures were due for replacement two decades ago.
