Inihayag ni PBBM na isusulong niya ang interes ng bansa bilang magandang destinasyon ng pamumuhunan, pagpapatibay ng relasyong Pilipinas-Japan, at pagpirma ng iba't ibang kasunduan na sasaklaw sa mas malalim na ugnayan ng depensa, seguridad, pampulitika, ekonomiya at mga kooperasyon sa iba't ibang sektor.
