Pinangunahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ngayong araw, Enero 26, ang panunumpa ng 15 na opisyal ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) na na-promote dahil sa kanilang galing at kwalipikasyon na punan ang ilang mahahalagang posisyon sa PCG.
Ipinangako ng Pangulo ang buong suporta ng kanyang administrasyon sa PCG lalo na sa misyong protektahan at bantayan ng mga karagatan na sakop ng Pilipinas at labanan ang mga krimen na mangyayari rito.
Kumpiyansa rin ang Pangulo na gagampanan ng coast guard ang kanilang tungkulin sa pagprotekta ng bansa at para masiguro ang kaligtasan ng mga Pilipino.
