Climate Change Commission Secretary Robert E.A. Borje and Tajikistan Energy Minister Juma Daler Shofaqir meet on the sidelines of the 4th Asia-Pacific Water Summit at the Kumamoto-Jo Hall in Kumamoto City, Japan on April 24, 2022. During their meeting, the two officials discussed the interests of the Philippines and Tajikistan in water and energy resources management and climate-resilient infrastructure.With Dushanbe hosting the International High-Level Conference on International Decade for Action - Water for Sustainable Development in June 2022, Minister Shofaqir conveyed Tajikistan’s keen interest to involve the Philippines citing the value of involving the voice of a developing archipelagic state in the discussions.Both officials agreed on the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual concern.
