Joining the repatriated OFWs in the chartered flight was the 14-man Philippine delegation led by Special Envoy and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs and Chief of Presidential Protocol (PAFA) Robert E.A. Borje and Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs Sarah Arriola.
Due to the onset of the coronavirus pandemic crisis, the Philippine government has taken intensified efforts such as the Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) and repatriation programs to ensure the welfare of the OFWs.
