Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Assistant Secretary Ryan Uy and Manolo Fortich Mayor Clive Quiño led the groundbreaking ceremony of the state-of-the-art training facility for government media workers and information officers which includes a two-storey main building, a parking lot as well as the general landscaping of the surrounding open area which will be fulfilled in phases within a 10,000 square meter lot in NBSC.
PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar announced that the facility is one of the results following the successful discussion during the 2018 National Information Convention in Davao City. “It will focus on teaching communications to our information officers from the barangays to those in the national government agencies,” he said.
PCOO, through a Memorandum of Agreement, transferred to the Department of Public Works and Highways the total amount of P79 million under its 2021 General Appropriations Act to fund the construction of the main building. P30 million of which was funded through the Congressional initiative of Senator Juan Miguel F. Zubiri. PRESIDENTIAL PHOTOS
