President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with Mary Joy and Dionesio Piñero, parents of the late 21-year-old Nikki Piñero, following his attendance to the opening ceremonies of the Buglasan Festival 2017 at the Lamberto Macias Sports and Cultural Center in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental on October 13, 2017. The 21-year-old, who was four months pregnant, was allegedly stabbed to death by Michael Manayon who was high on drugs when he committed the crime on April 2, 2017.
