Location SMX Convention Center Manila, Pasay City

It fills me with pride and excitement to unite with our renowned visionaries and trailblazers in the science and technology sector for the World of Consumer Electronics Expo and World of Safety and Security Expo.

I congratulate the Worldbex Services International on these promising shows intended to stimulate a more globally competitive, dynamic, and robust Philippines by elevating the standards of our technological landscape.

From addressing the construction and design needs of enterprises to creating innovative solutions in the world of electronics, it is undeniable that you have empowered our people and industries to thrive in a more digitally-connected and prosperous future.

In the same vein, you have surpassed conventions by implementing multifaceted approaches that confront the complex challenges that many industries face today.

For these, I thank all of you.

There is no doubt that your efforts have led to the growth of our technology and innovation industries while also generating employment opportunities for our citizens.

This is truly beneficial for a country like ours where our highly capable and well-trained workforce sets us apart from other progressive regions.

The fact that around 170,000 students in engineering, IT, and sciences graduate annually will ensure a steady supply of professionals who will be working and innovating in these industries while a supportive government will create a favorable working environment.

Rest assured [of] our continued support to enhance our talent pool by bringing them closer to learning and advancement opportunities.

Several key academic institutions are taking part in our Engineering Research and Development for Technology program. This aims to implement a high-impact research agenda in keeping with the government’s National Science and Technology Plan and the Philippine Development Plan.

Along with this, the Board of Investments has worked on the delivery of a development package for electronic companies entering or expanding their presence in the Philippines.

This Administration also continues to leverage the use of technologies and innovation to boost the productivity of our workforce, uplift our quality of life, and uphold the safety and security of our nation.

As we chart the course towards a Bagong Pilipinas, I enjoin everyone to seize this opportunity to deepen your partnerships, engage in constructive discussions, and share your unique insights and perspectives.

With our harmonized efforts, I believe that we can create a Bagong Pilipinas where digital transformation is secured, the aspirations of our people are reinforced, and
our position in the global technological landscape is solidified.

Again, congratulations on these engaging and remarkable events!

Mabuhay ang Bagong Pilipinas!
