We ask the public to stay alert regarding Typhoon Nina.

Nina is expected to traverse the province of Batangas, according to the 8AM Weather Bulletin of PAGASA.  Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal # 3 has been raised in Southern Quezon, Marinduque, Northern Oriental Mindoro, Lubang Island and Laguna.  Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal # 2, on the one hand, has been raised in Metro Manila, Rizal, Northern Quezon including Polilio Islands, Bulacan, Bataan, Pampanga, Southern Zambales, Rest of Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Northern Occidental Mindoro, Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continues to monitor Typhoon Nina and since yesterday has activated its Response Clusters to monitor and facilitate emergency response humanitarian assistance.  The DSWD has a total of 39,801 Family Food Packs (FFPs) on stock at its National Resource Operations Center (NROC); of which, 18,923 FFPs are available for allocation while the 20,878 FFPs are for delivery to different Field Offices.
