The briefing was held on May 26, 2017 in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte.  Joining the President in the briefing were Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr., Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eduardo Año, Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Ronald dela Rosa, and 1st Infantry Division Commander Brig. Gen. Rolando Bautista. After the briefing, the President talked to the troopers of the 2nd MIB where he told them it is time for the government’s victory as the soldiers have what they needed to defeat the terrorists who attacked Marawi City. He added the government will use all its assets to ensure victory against the terrorists. The President also assured the troopers he will take full responsibility of the consequences of the martial rule in Mindanao. PRESIDENTIAL PHOTO
