From the Office of Civil Defense – On Task Force Bangon Marawi

As part of our continuing efforts to physically rebuild Marawi City and restore and improve the life and vibrance of its people and communities, we will soon turn over 500 transitional shelters to identified recipient families of Brgy. Sagonsongan, Marawi City.

Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM), in coordination with the Marawi City LGU, is holding formal turnover ceremonies for the conflict-affected communities on December 27 to be presided by no less than President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

Despite the inclement weather condition in Mindanao, preparations for the turnover are in full swing. Today, December 22, the Marawi City LGU will present the list of beneficiaries to the Task Force. To date, 18,478 families or 92,390 individuals have returned to their communities in Marawi City since the start of the Kambalingan while the consolidation of findings from the Post Conflict Needs Assessment (PCNA) continues.
