Sec. Bong Go Visits Fire Victims in Catbalogan
After visiting the fire victims at Brgy. Ermita in Cebu City earlier on May 10, 2018, Sec. Bong Go of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President paid a visit to the families and individuals affected by the fire in Catbalogan City on the same day.
Sec. Go first dropped by at the site of the fire for a quick inspection before proceeding to the evacuation center at the Samar National High School.
He then led the distribution of the relief goods to victims composed food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development, hygiene kits from the Department of Health and Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan and cash grants from the Office of the Special Assistant to the President.
Before delivering his message, Sec. Go swapped his personal shoes for a flip flop owned by one of male fire survivor, as his regular highlight everytime he visits anywhere in the country.
Sec. Go assured the affected residents that the national government is ready to help them return to normalcy.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. met with Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr. on Tuesday at Malacañan Palace to discuss the department's new projects.
