Palace warns of possible spike of COVID-19 infections

The Palace, on Monday, warned of a possible spike in the number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as many people wantonly disregarded social and physical distancing measures on the first day of implementation of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) and general community quarantine (GCQ) on May 16.


Latest IATF resolution provides MECQ implementation details

The latest resolution of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), Resolution No. 36, approved the guidelines on the implementation of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) that will be in effect in the National Capital Region, the province of Laguna, and Cebu City starting May 16.


Palace releases MECQ details

A day after the announcement that a modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) will be in effect from May 16 to May 31 in Metro Manila, Laguna and Cebu City, the Palace released more information on its implementation.






Working senior citizens now allowed to go out – Palace

Employed senior citizens who are considered as part of essential workforce will now be allowed to go out and work, following the recommendations of the Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).


Palace presents latest IATF resolutions

Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque Jr., in his April 28 briefing, presented the latest resolutions of the Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID). This is following President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s approval of the extension of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in high- risk areas up to May 15, and for low to moderate risk areas to be under the general community quarantine (GCQ) starting May 1.
