Palace urges ramping up of vaccination in the regions

As the Omicron variant continues to pose a threat to the country’s healthcare system capacities, the national government on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, underscored the need to ramp up the vaccination in other regions as the National Capital Region (NCR) and its neighboring provinces registered sharp increase in the number of COVID-19 cases.

7.5-M Filipinos jabbed as govt exceeds National Vaccination Days Phase 2 target

Despite the onslaught of Typhoon Odette and the commemoration of the holiday season, the government surpassed the target set for the second phase of its National Vaccine Days (NVD), with close to 7.5-M Filipinos vaccinated against COVID-19 in NVD activities held from December 15 to December 23 nationwide.


Typhoon Odette-hit areas now under State of Calamity – Palace

Areas that were hit by Typhoon Odette are now under a State of Calamity after President Rodrigo Roa Duterte signed Presidential Proclamation No. 1267, which declares a State of Calamity in Regions 4-B, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 13, said Cabinet Secretary and Acting Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Karlo Nograles during a press briefing on December 22, 2021 in Davao City.





President signs EO regulating drug prices

Acting Presidential Spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles on Wednesday announced that President Rodrigo Duterte has signed an executive order (EO) that would regulate the prices of drugs and medicines used to address the leading causes of morbidity in the country.
